In 2002 Viridian / CRH engaged Mott MacDonald Ireland to provide
the following owner's engineer services associated with the
project:
- Feasibility studies
- Environmental impact statement (EIS)
- Planning application
- IPPCL application
- Specification
- Tender review award of contract
- Grid application
Phase 1 consisting of a 390MW CCGT power plant was commissioned in
2003 and was the first private large scale power plant to be
commissioned in Ireland.
